Mr. and Mrs. Haydn Samuel
Haydn Samuel, the founder of Eastern Claims Service, began his career
in the insurance industry as an adjuster with the Loyalty Group in 1938.
Following his service in the United States Army Counter Intelligence Corp,
as a Special Agent CIC during World War II, he returned to Scranton and a
position at American Casualty, where he became Claims Manager.
In 1955 he founded Eastern Claims Service with the administrative and clerical
support of his wife, Dorothy. The company grew to become one of the largest,
family owned, independent adjusting companies in Northeastern Pennsylvania,
with Mr. Samuel serving as Manager until his retirement in 1975.
It is the family tradition of excellence that the current President,
Haydn C. Samuel, seeks to continue in serving the needs of the insurance industry.
